EWS(Economically Weaker Sections) in India is a category of people with an annual income of fewer than Rs.8 lakhs and Who does not belong to any reserved class, for example, OBC, SC, ST. EWS refers to only General categories that were economically weaker in India.
Guys, you know very well about the number of people living below the poverty line and belonging to EWS in India. The government of India earlier did not provide any reservation to Economically Weaker Sections(EWS).
On January 7, 2019, the union cabinet authorized a 10 percent quota for economically weaker parts in the general category in employment and educational institutions.
The eligibility to get EWS Certificate is purely based on annual income and the limit has been set by the respective State Government in which a person domiciled.
Economically Backward Class(EBC) or Economically Weaker Sections(EWS) people get a 10% reservation in education and both central and State government jobs of India similarly like OBC, SC, ST.
ELIGIBILITY TO GET EWS CERTIFICATE:
- You should be a General candidate.
- Family income should be less than 8 lakhs.
- family’s Agricultural land area should be less than 5 acres.
- Family’s residential flat area of the city should be less than 1000sq. ft.
- Family’s residential plot area should be less than 100 sq. yards. (Notified Municipalities)
- Family’s residential plot area should be less than 200 sq. yards. (Other than the Notified Municipalities)
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR EWS CERTIFICATE:
- Aadhar card(mandatory)
- Income Certificate(mandatory)
- PAN card(mandatory)
- Caste Certificate
- BPL card
- Bank statement
- Recent passport size photo
HOW TO APPLY FOR EWS CERTIFICATE:
Guys, There is no online method that has been implemented yet to apply for the EWS reservation. If you want to apply for the certificate you will have to adopt the offline method.
If you want to apply the EWS certificate just download the EWS application form and fill it correctly and attach the all required documents carefully. Then contact your tehsil office. They will generate a case number and after completing his process he will transfer the case to your revenue inspector(RI). RI will come to your house to confirm your submitted data. After completing the process they transfer it again to your tehsil office. You can get the EWS certificate from your Tehsil office. Guys, I want to inform you in my experience it will take 5 to 15 days and more depending upon your tehsil and RI office. As soon as the work will be done you can get your EWS certificate easily.
