The Texas A&M track & field team competed against both the other teams and the weather to secure 17 event wins at the Alumni Muster meet to close out its home slate at E.B. Cushing Stadium.
Julian Stoicoviciu claimed the first win of the day in the men’s javelin with a 206 feet, 10 inch toss. McKenzie Fairchild ensured the sweep, winning the women’s event with a 161 feet, 10 inch mark.
The Aggies continued to overwhelm in the field, compiling four more victories. Jack Mann III had a season best in the men’s pole vault, as he cleared 17 feet, seven inches on his final attempt to secure the win. On the women’s side, Sevanna Hanson took first as she finished with a 13 feet, 3.5 inches jump. Carlie Weiser got a double-win day. First, she had a career performance in the discus with a 179 feet, two inches throw and followed it up with 48 feet, 10.25 inches in the shot put. Both marks broke Alumni Muster meet records.

The quartet of Isaiah Teer, Devante Mount, Omarion Ferguson and Keanu Jones brought the win home in the the men’s 4x100m relay with a 40.74. The men’s 4x400m team of Jevon O’Bryant, Cutler Zamzow, Auhmad Robinson and DeMarco Escobar, to go along with, the women’s 4x400m relay group consisting of Jaydan Wood, Jermaisha Arnold, Bailey Goggans and Kennedy Wade finished their races in 3:07.16 and 3:42.08, respectively.
Zamzow doubled down on victories for the day, winning the 200 meter event in a wind aided 21.37. Kimar Farquharson ensured his second-straight 800 meter victory, as he crossed the line in 1:47.26.
The Aggies won all three hurdle events they entered, highlighted by senior day honoree Connor Schulman. He dominated the 110m hurdle field and crossed the line in 13.62. Jaiya Covington won the women’s 100m hurdles in 13.58, while Kirk Collins, Jr. won the 400m hurdles in 53.03.
A&M’s distance group flexed its muscles in the 3,000m steeplechase, as they won both the men’s and women’s titles. Emma Little spotlighted the event, as she moved up a spot on the all-time performers list to No. 9 finishing in 10:45.99. Jonathan Chung won in his final home meet, with a 9:04.89 time.
The Aggies teams will split up as one will head to Philadelphia for the Penn Relays and the other will be in Lubbock, Texas, for the Corky/Crofoot Shootout, with both meets from April 25-27.
